[Fukuzawa always feeds random stray cats, after all, and Ranpo has gotten plenty of chances to pet them. Of course Atsushi is different, but somehow he’s even cuter, especially when he’s looking so blissed out. In fact Ranpo is curious what might happen if he rubs Atsushi’s ears and strokes his tail at the same time, so he does just that, taking a step closer and getting all up in Atsushi’s koolaid.]
[ atsushi doesn't know just how deep the director's love for cat runs so it doesn't occur to him that it's fukuzawa who is to blame for ranpo's ability to pet cats well.
he'll push that thought aside for now, because the moment he feels both his ears and his tail getting touched, atsushi lets out a little noise that sounds.. a lot like a little moan? he quickly presses his lips together and closes his eyes, focusing on the sensation of those fingers rubbing and stroking him. ]
Yup! Most of them are strays that wander around outside the office or ones I spot on the way to the candy store. Most of them are pretty skittish at first, but once I start petting them they warm right up to me.
[Just like Atsushi...also like Atsushi most cats will come up to you easily if you offer food. Maybe Ranpo should carry more snacks in his pockets just for that reason.
But what's this? That's certainly an interesting reaction. Like Atsushi is really enjoying being petted. That expression is very nice too, even if it's difficult to see in the darkness of the server room.]
Hmm...then what about this?
[Always the curious guy, Ranpo tries blowing into one of Atsushi's tiger ears, just to see his reaction. He might get irritated, or he might be wondering what the fuck that was for. Either way it'll be fun.]
[ oh god, did ranpo notice that noise? it's not like the server room is completely quiet with all the machinery in it, but it's not super loud either so a moan like that certainly wouldn't go unnoticed..
at least he doesn't point it out.
that's what atsushi thinks, but then ranpo goes ahead and blows into one of his tiger ears and it effectively startles him. he makes a surprised little noise and his ear flaps in response to the blowing, just like that of a cat. ]
