[ as much as oda loves his job and his workplace, he's just as excited as everyone else is when the headmaster announces that afternoon classes will be canceled because of the impending snowstorm. it has to be the first time that the school grounds empty that fast, and even kunikida and ango - the most hardworking teacher and student respectively - end up leaving long before oda does.
oda does wish he was at home already, curled up in bed with his cat, but it's his turn to check whether anyone is still left in the building. he sincerely doubts that this is the case, considering that it's already snowing quite heavily and everyone wants to get home safely. it's impossible to even see the school gate through the storm.
with a heavy sigh, oda pulls open the door to the library. surely even the armed student council went home for the day. he did see atsushi leave earlier, after all, shoving his mouth with discounted meat buns from the school cafeteria. ]

[ oda says those words the moment they cross his mind upon spotting a certain troublemaker in the library. seriously, why is dazai still here.. it's impossible to have missed the announcement to go home given by fukuzawa himself. ]
